My lowest point in motherhood came around a year into returning to a demanding and stressful job after my maternity leave. I was exhausted, overwhelmed and full of guilt. Everything felt off.
Motherhood had truly changed me at the core, yet I had returned to a job and previous existence that no longer worked for me.
At first, like most mums, I blamed myself for finding things tough rather than looking at the bigger picture. This kept me trapped in silence and shame for too long. Eventually, I couldn't ignore my inner knowing any longer, and knew that my life had to change for the better.
After embarking on a personal, professional, and spiritual journey, I now stand in the power of knowing there wasn't anything wrong with me in the first place. This modern motherhood game is rigged!
